PLAYBOOK ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY
(Revised August 2026)

Acceptable Use Policy

This policy applies to every person who uses Playbook, whether as an administrator or on the mobile app. It exists because Playbook carries emergency and security information, and because the messages it sends travel over public mobile networks.

PLAYBOOK IS INVITE-ONLY

Access is granted by a customer organization to the people it chooses. You may not share your access, let someone else use your account, or pass content to anyone the organization has not invited.

WHAT IS IN A PLAYBOOK IS SENSITIVE

Emergency plans describe how an organization would respond to an incident, and may identify staff, access points and procedures. Do not publish, post or circulate that content outside the people it was shared with.

MESSAGING

Broadcasts are for operational communication about the event they belong to. Do not use Playbook to send marketing, solicitations, political messages, or anything unrelated to the event. Do not add a person's mobile number to Playbook unless they have a working relationship with the event and would expect to hear from the organization.

THINGS YOU MAY NOT DO

  • Break the law, or help anyone else to

  • Upload content you do not have the right to share

  • Upload malware, or attempt to gain access to anything you were not given access to

  • Probe, scan or test the security of the service without written permission

  • Scrape, copy or extract data other than through features we provide

  • Resell access, or use the service to build a competing product

  • Misrepresent who you are

ACCOUNTS AND ADMINISTRATORS

A customer organization is responsible for the people it invites and for what its administrators publish. Administrators must have the right to share the contact details they upload and must remove people who no longer need access.

IF THIS POLICY IS BROKEN

We may suspend or remove access, with or without notice depending on the seriousness. Where the breach is by one person at a customer organization, we will normally raise it with that organization first.

REPORTING

Report misuse to Venue Intelligence using the contact details on our website.
